Ann and I are currently vacationing in Michigan. Some friends own a cottage on a lake in the Upper Peninsula. It is fairly secluded and soothing to the soul.
If you haven't been away as a couple since you've started dealing with the affair it is probably about time. Get away from the daily tasks that call your name and get out of town just the two of you. Get somewhere that isn't real busy, somewhere that you can just take it slow.
Don't put pressure on the time away, hopefully a week, maybe two. Just go to get away and to be together and enjoy one another. There may be some tense times, expect them. But don't spend the whole time processing life. You've come a long way to get where you are. Ann and I didn't know it but at this point we still had around four months to get to where we were sure we would make it. Some of you may already be sure and that is wonderful. Some may still have some difficult places to deal with and that's ok too.
So get away and relax. Enjoy the rest for your soul. Here was our sunset view as we readied the fire to make s'mores.
