Taste

I'm (Ann) a foodie, so taste is a priority for me with food. We were at a dinner presentation once where we had to list our priorities for food – healthy, quick and easy, variety and taste…

Taste is number one for me.

Song of Songs has something to tell us about taste.

“I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk.”

~Song of Songs 5:1 (NIV)

Have you ever fed one another or been fed?  Ben and I had a great getaway once where we did this. The pace was unhurried. I don't recall a time when we've ever been more relaxed around one another. We were with one another in moments full of delight and trust.

We want you to stop and feed one another!

One spouse closes their eyes; the other picks one item from your food and feeds it to the other. Then switch. No practical jokes here as it harms trust.

It's good to gather several different types of food that you both enjoy for this. Maybe something sweet and something salty. Whatever you'd like to have is fine. The surprise of good taste and delight is playful and fun.
