Know his question. 

We touched on this earlier that in general a man's biggest question is in the ballpark of ‘Do I have what it takes?’

Shaunti Feldhahn asked men this, 

 "In a somewhat unfamiliar and challenging situation, which were you most likely to experience?"

1)    I can handle it, no problem.  16%

2)    I’m somewhat out of my depth here, and I hope it doesn’t show. 63%

3)    I feel a bit like an imposter; I’m not fully qualified I hope no one finds out. 21%

So 84% of men responded in a way that affirmed that indeed this is their main question.  It still could be for the others guys too but it's hard to tell.  Some could also be in denial and perhaps some only drink Dos XX. :)

So ladies know how this question plays out for your man. It will uniquely manifest itself in certain situations where your man experiences a sense of inadequacy. Learn what he needs from you, the most important woman in his life, in those places that feel like anything but a place of strength.
