Lord we come to you today wanting to rest in you. 

Many of our souls are wound tightly.  Will you help us unwind?

Help us to unwind and make space for you in each of our souls.

Show us where and how we block you out interfering with the simple pleasure of being with you. 

Lord, we ask you to help us find Sabbath within. 

Most of us really don’t know what it means to rest... and play and merely spend time with you, allowing you to enjoy us and us to enjoy you. 

We live in a free country but don’t really have a sense of freedom in our souls. 

Help us to be free, relaxed and unhurried in time with our friends, our family and you. 

You made Sabbath for us. 

Guide us and give us courage to eliminate those activities and ideas that keep us from being Sabbath minded people. 

Help us to stop.  To cease.   To listen.  To trust in the goodness of your heart.
