In the book of Hosea we see the Lord wooing the adultress away to the desert.  He desires to redeem her heart and to speak tenderly to her.  God wants to woo back and redeem the unfaithful partner in the marriage. So too we who are in marriages with infidelity are led into deeper deserts of our heart to become recommitted to God at deeper levels of surrender.    

As we begin this journey it is important to note that we all have deceptive hearts, “What comes out of a man is what makes him unclean.’ ²¹For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, ²²greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.  ²³All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’”

This tells me that I am still a man in need of a Savior.
