I am going to do a series of posts on the book, Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs.
So far, I've used this book as a primary source for my part in a relationship seminar on gender differences and I am having all of the marriage groups at my church use it this fall in small group study and discussion to grow and strengthen their marriages.
I like it because it addresses relationship principles that I've learned and seek to share with couples in counseling. Emerson shares these deep, profound truths in a simple, conversational manner. I do believe this book will help almost every couple who picks it up, invests some time in understanding how the opposite gender works, understanding how his or her own gender works, and is willing to stop the 'Crazy Cycle' and move to the 'Energizing Cycle.' I'll talk more about those later.
