Virginia Todd (Toddy) Holeman has a new book set for release on October 1st. It is called Reconcilable Differences: Hope and Healing for Troubled Marriages. I encourage you to click on the link and order your copy now. Amazon will ship it when it arrives.
I am looking forward to reading it for several reasons.
1) We are in the book. Toddy interviewed couples around the nation who have survived and grown with infidelity in their marriages. Our story will be under the monikers Alan and Elizabeth.
2) We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Toddy and corresponding with her through email from time to time. I made the error of attempting to come alongside Toddy and root with her for Louisville against Kentucky when they played basketball last year. Toddy kindly yet directly reminded me that Asbury Theological Seminary (where she is an Associate Dean and Professor) is in LEXINGTON, KY home of the UK Wildcats.
Incidentally, in November, Asbury along with Brian McLaren will be hosting what looks like a great conference Worship: art, liturgy and preaching in the emergent culture.
3) Most importantly, this book will no doubt be a great benefit in helping those dealing with infidelity to map out a plan of redemption and restoration in the chaos and pain of betrayal.
Order your copy today he said in his deep announcer's voice.
